This guide will help you get started to host your first corporate challenge.

Step 1: Create your challenge

The first step is to open the Event Manager section from the Profile menu:

Please note that you need to be logged in before you can continue. After this click on Create Event to start the event creation wizard. Or click here to start now.

In the first step you will be asked for the name of your event. Please note that we will generate the id from this name, so please make sure you enter the correct name without typos.

Once you confirm the name of the event our simple to use 5-step wizard opens. This wizard will guide you through the most important configuration options for your challenge. Only few fields are required so you can quickly enter those and hit Save and always go back to fine-tune the configuration at a later moment in time.

Step 2: Add one or more leaderboards

Once you have created your event, you can add one or more leaderboards to it. A leaderboard is can be either for individual or for team results. You can choose from various challenge types such as Step Challenge or Total Distance.

For your first event our advice is to start with either Step Challenge, Total Duration, or Total Distance. Once you've done such a challenge you can explore the more advanced challenge types. Each challenge type has specific configuration options available to further customize them.

Step 3: Prepare your challenge

A key component to creating successful and engaging virtual challenges is to include badges in your challenges. This will ensure participants keep motivated during the challenge to reach their end-goal. Each badge can trigger a customizable email which will be delivered once the badge is achieved. This email is a great way to drive engagement and allow participants to share their results with friends and family.

This is also the moment where you can upload a virtual course map to a leaderboard.

Finally, this is a good time to review our Communication Plan for email templates and a proposed communication timeline to ensure a smooth start of your challenge.
