We try to automatically sync your steps and activities in the background from connected devices. However, both Android and iOS have increasingly strict rules on when apps are allowed to run in the background. This means that you typically have to open our app a few times before we get more time from Android and iOS to also run in the background.


Open the app to start syncing

When you open our app, we immediately start to sync your steps and activities in the background. This is the most easy way to ensure your steps and activities are synced.


Please note that leaderboards are updated every 10-15 minutes, so it might still take a little while for your latest steps and activities to show on the leaderboards.


Force a Sync

You can also force a sync by going to the Manage Connected Device screen (on the Me tab). Select your device and then force a sync. See this separate FAQ for more details.
