Note: make sure to upload to the latest version of our app to enable this integration.

You can connect your Samsung Watch (Samsung Health) using our app. We work with Google Health Connect as an in-between tool: Samsung Watch --> Google Health Connect --> our app

Google Health Connect is a new app from Google which will replace Google Fit and works very similar to Apple Health. It is a central storage on your device for all fitness and health data. Apps can read and/or write data from Health Connect so you can use control which apps have access to certain data.

Getting Started

Follow these steps to enable auto-sync with your Samsung Watch. Each of these steps has more detailed instructions later on.

  1. Install Google Health Connect
  2. Enable Google Health Connect sync in Samsung Health
  3. Enable auto-sync in our app

Step 1: Install Google Health Connect

Install the Google Health Connect app. You can download this from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.healthdata&hl=en&gl=US&pli=1

Step 2: Enable Google Health Connect sync in Samsung Health

Open the Samsung Health app and navigate to Settings. Now select the Health Connect option. Now make sure to provide permissions so Samsung can write at least step and exercise data with Health Connect.

Note: you must have enabled the "Sync with Samsung Account" option in order for the Health Connect sync to work.

Step 3: Enable auto-sync in our app

Now open our app. Open the Me-tab and open the Connected Fitness Trackers screen. Now expand the Samsung Health section and select Manage. Click the Connect option to enable auto-sync integration.

When asked, please make sure you give us permissions to read your data. You can decide which data points we can read from Health Connect.

  • For step challenges it's important you provide access to at least step data
  • For activity based challenges it's important you provide access to at least exercise sessions and distance
