This is the most advanced challenge type and unlocks several creative and powerful challenge configurations.

The goal of this challenge is to score all badges which are marked to be included in the challenge goal. This way you can create unique combinations of badges to complete the ultimate race goal. You can combine all types of badges in your setup.

Please note that only badges that are explicitly marked to be included in the challenge goal will count towards the result. This allows you to add additional badges which are not mandatory for the challenge goal.

Triathlons

You can use the Badge Challenge to setup a triathlon by using the following configuration:

  1. Start with a badge with Goal type set to 'Activity', select 'Swimming' as activity type and enter the distance you want them to swim in either kilometers or miles. Make sure to check 'Include in Challenge Goal' switch!
  2. Next you create a new badge with Goal type of 'Activity' but now with 'Cycling' as activity and enter the bike distance. Please make sure you select the Swimming badge as a prerequisite for scoring this badge in the Configuration section under 'Only after' option. Again, make sure to check 'Include in Challenge Goal' switch.
  3. Next you do the same, but select Running as activity type and the Cycling badge as prerequisite. Again, make sure to check 'Include in Challenge Goal' switch.

With this setup each participant will first need to add a swimming activity, followed by a cycling activity and finally finish with a running activity. For each activity we take the distance you have entered as activity goal. When the activity includes a GPS track we will take the exact time from the start to the given distance. Otherwise we'll scale based on the average speed/pace.

Multi-Sport Challenges

Using the same principles as the triathlon you can create any type of multi-sport event. Think of run-bikes or even a 'broken' marathon of 26 separate mile fragments which can be chained together into a single overall marathon time by combining all fragments.
